Mood in Words

It sense the rawness the most
When holding pen and paper
While enveloped in grayness

Unto every blank page
It pour out some of its sin
Bidding to lessen its stain

Book Find: Fahrenheit 451

Author: R. Bradbury
Fiction

When the books I read are not of my own volition...

Do others also get this feeling? As if, even the simplest act of what you can read and stay reading up until the last page will happen or will not happen outside of your own control. As if the books choose their time when they get read, when they can be understood and when they can be lived. As if it is you, the person, who is the insignificant piece in the party - an unheeded bystander watching all things and non-things flow right past by.

Lucky Bastards

We lucky bastards have all of the fun
We have the best of talents
We have the best of skills

We bring out the worst in another bastard
Push him to desperation, to his corner of self-destruction
We lucky bastards kill dreams if we must

Whether we mean it or not,
Collateral damages are part of our business
Whatever it takes to get the results that we want

We lucky bastards do what we do
Because we can get away with it
Because only we, lucky bastards, deserve the best of this world

              are illusions
At the end of all the hypothetical plots
It is what it is
It's not meant to be
